Sleep is a fundamental segment of our life, necessary for maintaining optimal health and well-being. In spite of its importance, a fair number of people ignore their sleep, and provide more priority for their work, social activities, or entertainment. However, there is evidence that highlights the importance of sleep in various aspects of physical, mental, and emotional health.
1. *Physical Health*

Sleep has a major effect on the immune system. During sleep, the body produces proteins called cytokines, some of which promote sleep. 4. *Safety*
Lack of sleep is a significant risk factor for accidents and injuries. Sleep-deprived individuals are more prone to errors and slower reaction times, which can be dangerous in situations requiring vigilance, such as driving. Drowsy driving is a leading cause of road accidents, often with fatal outcomes. Ensuring adequate sleep can enhance safety and reduce the risk of accidents in daily life.
